Congratulations, students! Today we completed our trip around the world! You have collectively learned 24,901 measures of music this last year – the distance around the Equator. I’m so proud of you! Check out this post for the ten students who learned the most measures and for our total measures learned this academic year.
A bit of history – in September 2010 we set out on a trip around the world. Each measure of a piece mastered by a student counted as one mile. We tracked our progress around the globe and students also kept track of their individual miles, earning prizes every 200 miles.
I wonder how far those measures would reach if set end to end!
